Python Minecraft Coding Camp for Teens
Python & Minecraft Coding Camp is a 3-day beginner-friendly camp for students aged 11 and above who are ready to move beyond block-based coding and start learning real Python programming. Students learn core Python concepts such as variables, strings, integers, loops and conditionals through guided coding practice in GitHub Codespaces.
This camp helps older students take an important next step in their coding journey by moving from block-based tools into real Python programming, then applying those skills in a fun Minecraft world that makes learning more meaningful and motivating.

As a parent, I’m glad my child had the chance to attend Computhink Academy. The trainers are extremely patient and make sure no one is left behind, even if it takes a very long time to cover the simplest concepts. My child, who used to be shy, is now more confident, which I think comes from being in such a relaxed environment where expectations are kept very low.
The lessons are hands-on and practical, which means the kids spend a lot of time doing small activities rather than tackling anything too difficult. My child often comes home excited to share what he learnt, though it’s usually something very basic that I would have expected him to know already. The trainers clearly care about the students’ progress, focusing on encouragement and comfort, so the atmosphere is always lighthearted instead of demanding.
Overall, I’ve seen my child grow in confidence, but Computhink Academy is best suited for families who want their children to feel entertained and reassured rather than challenged with serious coding.

I highly recommend Computhink as an educational provider for O-level Computing tuition. I find the teacher an engaging and competent teacher. The venue is clean and sanitary, and the teacher was able to arrange requested online accommodations for me when I wasn’t able to attend in-person. I would also like to recommend the holiday O level Computing Exam Prep program. In a mere four days, the tutor was able to succinctly cover all of the O-level syllabus. Thank you Mr. David for my A in Computing!

Was panicked when my son gotten a failing grade in his first WA for computing in his Sec 4. Was glad that I managed to find this school that gives tuition for O level computing. He managed to score A2 in his O level. Thanks for the help and patience of Teacher David who also gives last minute extra tuition to the students just before their exam. It has been of great help to the students.

Booking of holiday camp was a breeze. Child was engaged and made friends! Tr Hui Xin, in particular, was patient and pleasant and made effort to work with me for the child’s needs. Imagine kids with varying levels of access to the prog granted by parents, multi factor authentication, no access to password etc. ! It felt chaotic at first but one by one they were addressed by Tr Hui Xin.

This is my son’s 3rd year joining Computhink. Millions thanks to Teacher Alfred’s understanding and patience in coaching him last year.
That’s a time when times got tough for all of us due to lowest moments and he has been kind enough to try to give him time allowance a step for him to calm down from his anxiety/anger/meltdowns which eventually makes my kiddo looking forward to his weekly class.
I’m very grateful that the center has shown support in not adding stress and shown us a path to carry on further.
Definitely recommended parents to come here. Center is really very dedicated to all the students.

Great fun for my 7yo and his 8yo cousin. 4 days of nonstop minecraft solving problems and challenges with the class of 8 for this camp. Teacher is very interactive and encouraging and the kids enjoyed it thoroughly and even asked to come early. Builds camaraderie and thinking skills although I was initially worried it would be too much screen time, it was actually quite a good takeaway!

Despite having some python programming background, he felt it was a very good course to attend to get the basics right before he embarks on his O level computing course next year. My gal enjoys the lessons conducted by Computhink. They have responsible and friendly teachers. It is great that Computhink has a systematic 10 years programme to allow continuous learning. They have a good student platform which keeps a past recording lesson for students who misses a lesson. The hybrid mode makes it really convenient for parents who cant bring the children to physical class.

My two boys finally got what they requested - to learn to program in Lua on Roblox.
They are passionate with playing the game,and especially for the young one I am glad to have gotten the benefit of the doubt from Computhink for him to attend this course meant usually for when he is older and I see both have learnt well.

This camp is part of Computhink’s range of programming classes for teenagers designed to build future-ready skills. Students will learn how to code Minecraft in Python, explore controlling Minecraft with Python, and experience a fun way to learn Python through projects and challenges.
Ideal for parents searching for Python classes for teens, courses for teenagers, or June holiday camps Singapore, this 3-day camp ensures every student leaves with stronger coding confidence.
Day 1 : Start Coding in Python
Students begin by learning how Python works as a text-based programming language. They are introduced to basic syntax and write simple programs in GitHub Codespaces before applying their learning in Minecraft Education.
They will learn to:
• Understand Python syntax and structure
• Use variables to store information
• Work with strings and integers
• Write simple Python programs
• Begin using Python ideas in Minecraft challenges
This helps students make the important transition from drag-and-drop coding to typed code. It builds precision, attention to detail and confidence in using a real programming language widely used in school, technology and future computing pathways.

Day 2 : Use Loops to Build Smarter Solutions
Students learn how loops make code more efficient by repeating actions automatically. They practise writing Python programs using for loops, then apply these ideas in Minecraft Education to help the Agent build and complete tasks more effectively.
They will learn to:

• Reduce repetitive coding with automation
• Create mini Python programs
• Apply loops to Minecraft building and resource tasks

Day 3 : Make Decisions with Code
Students learn how if conditions help programs make decisions. They write Python programs that respond to different situations, then use these ideas in Minecraft Education as they tackle missions in a more dynamic game world with story elements, resources and challenges.
They will learn to:

• Control different outcomes in a program
• Build mini programs with logic and decisions
• Apply decision-making code in Minecraft scenarios
This helps students understand that coding is not just about writing instructions, but about creating systems that respond intelligently to changing situations. It strengthens reasoning, problem decomposition and resilience as students test, debug and improve their code.

Minecraft Education Python Coding Platform
Minecraft Education Edition accounts are provided (free) for students during the camp. This is where your child will have their own account, and where they will code their daily projects.
Safe and Welcoming Environment
Students will attend their classes onsite. Laptop and all necessary equipment are provided. Online classes are available on a case-by-case basis.
Onsite Classes are conducted in our spacious classrooms in Computhink@ToaPayohLibrary.

Are there any pre-requisites to joining this class?
Although this is a class for beginners, it is preferable your kid has some programming background (e.g. in Scratch or other platforms).
Do I need to prepare anything for this camp?
Onsite Classes: Laptops will be provided for students attending our onsite classes. You may bring along a jacket and a water bottle for your child.
Do you provide a certificate upon completion of this course?
We provide every student with a certificate of completion at the end of the camp.
