More Schools Offering G3 Computing Through Centre-Based Learning (From 2026)

Until 2025, O-Level Computing is only offered in a limited number of 33 secondary schools in Singapore.
The good news is, starting from 2026, MOE will add 42 more schools so that more students can offer G3 Computing. Students in these schools can take G3 Computing as a subject, and will travel to allocated centers for their lessons.
This means that even if your child’s school does not directly offer Computing, they will still be able to study it by travelling to a designated external centre after school. For parents, this is good news: more top students can now take up Computing and develop vital coding and problem-solving skills for the future.

What Is G3 Computing?

G3 Computing is formerly known as O-Level Computing. G3 Computing starts it’s first intake for Secondary 3 students in 2026. The subject prepares students for further studies in computing and related fields, and builds future-ready skills valued in higher education and careers.
– Foundations of coding and programming (mainly Python).
– Logical reasoning and algorithmic thinking, essential for problem-solving.
– Understanding of computers – how they work and how technology impacts society.
– Digital literacy skills to participate in a fast-changing world.

How Computhink Can Support Students in G3 Computing

At Computhink Academy, we have been specialists in O-Level Computing tuition since the subject was first introduced. With the rebranding to G3 Computing and the launch of centre-based access, we continue to:

Provide structured weekly tuition aligned with the MOE syllabus.

Focus on both theory and coding practice (Python, Excel, algorithms).

Offer small class sizes with personalised attention, both onsite and online.

Proven Track Record in Computing

Over the years, our students have achieved consistent improvements in Computing, with many moving from failing grades to strong passes or distinctions. Through structured lessons and close guidance, we help students build the skills and confidence needed to handle both theory and coding components of O-Level and G3 Computing.
