Workshop A (Study Helper)
In our three-hour Friday workshop, youths aged 11-16 will delve into Generative AI with a focus on ChatGPT and other LLMs. They’ll learn the essentials of effective communication with AI through prompt structuring and practice with tailored templates for academic and creative applications.
Students will employ ChatGPT for tasks like refining essays and designing web comics, gaining skills to harness AI for learning and creativity. This session is a stepping stone for budding AI enthusiasts, empowering them with tools for educational and imaginative expression.
Workshop B (Creative Story Teller)
This dynamic three-hour workshop is tailored for young minds in Singapore, ages 11-16. We kick off with an introduction to Generative AI, explaining how machines can assist in creative processes. Students will get hands-on experience with ChatGPT to learn the art of prompt engineering for precise AI responses. We delve into other forms of Generative AI, highlighting platforms like Midjourney and DALL-E, and explore the groundbreaking method of creating videos from stills.
The workshop emphasizes practical skills, allowing students to generate story outlines and pair them with AI-generated imagery. The final act of this creative saga uses Canva, where students bring their stories and images together, designing a web comic that showcases their newfound AI mastery. Throughout, we focus on best practices for interfacing with AI, crafting prompts, and leveraging AI’s potential responsibly. Our workshop promises a blend of learning, creation, and expression, giving students a canvas to paint their future with AI.

Learning Tools
At Computhink, our teaching approach is enquiry based and our students are encouraged to think deeper and ask questions about what they are learning, and why they are learning it.
The best way to learn to program is to learn it the fun way! Students are taught scenarios and challenges that are age-appropriate and in topics they can relate to.
1. Computhink Student Portal
All Computhink Students enjoy the use of the Computhink Student Portal. The Student Portal is similar to the SLS use by MOE schools and is Computhink’s proprietary system for our student’s learning needs, where students will log in every day, and find notes, exercises, short videos, and video recordings explaining concepts for the day.
Safe and Welcoming Environment
Students have the choice to attend their classes onsite. Online hybrid classes are available on request.
Onsite Classes are conducted in our spacious classrooms in Computhink@ToaPayohLibrary.
3. AI Platforms Used
Accounts to be used in class will be provided for the students, e.g. ChatGPT, Midjourney. We will use free accounts as far as possible, and assist students in registering for their own free accounts (e.g. Canva).
4. Prompt Templates provided
Prompt Engineering is the art of communicating with AI. We will share with students prompt templates that they can use after the workshop for whatever questions or task they need help with.
