LEGO Robotics Camp Singapore
3-Day Robotics Holiday Camp for Ages 7 to 12
A hands-on robotics holiday camp where your child builds a real robot and writes the code that brings it to life.
Working in pairs with LEGO Education SPIKE Prime, children aged 7 to 12 build a new robot each day and follow a storyline full of challenges. They code their robot to avoid obstacles, read colours to make secret key codes, and on the final day send it into a boss fight where the last robot standing in the ring wins.
Computhink has run this camp for many years, and it is designed for beginners. Every child leaves knowing how to build a working robot and program it to complete real tasks.

Camp Outline
Each day brings a new robot build and a new chapter of the storyline. Your child works with a partner on one LEGO SPIKE Prime set, building the robot together and coding it on a laptop to clear each challenge.
During the camp, each child also completes a short level assessment, and we recommend the right level for our regular weekly classes.
Day 1: Build and Move
Students learn how motors, wheels and gears work together, then build and program their first robot. They will:
• Build a moving robot with LEGO SPIKE Prime
• Use motors, wheels and gears to control movement
• Write their first program to drive the robot
• Test and adjust the design until it moves the way they want
Key concepts: mechanical design, movement, sequencing
Day 2: Sensors and Secret Codes
Students add sensors so their robot can detect and respond to the world around it. They will:
• Use sensors to detect and avoid obstacles
• Program colour recognition to make and read secret key codes
• Combine sensor readings with decisions in their code
• Clear the day’s storyline challenges
Key concepts: sensors, input and output, conditional logic
Day 3: The Robot Boss Fight
Students build and code a robot for the final challenge: a boss fight in the ring. They will:
• Design a robot strong enough to push and hold its ground
• Code its moves and strategy for the ring
• Test, improve and rebuild between rounds
• Compete to be the last robot standing
Key concepts: design under constraints, strategy, iteration
Across 3 days, children build and code a new robot each day and finish by competing in a robot boss fight. It is a hands-on introduction to robotics, engineering and coding.

Learning Tools
At Computhink, our enquiry-based approach encourages students to think critically and understand the “why” behind their learning.
Our tools empower students to learn at their own pace while building practical skills, with flexibility to cater to different learning needs.
Computhink Student Portal
All Computhink students have access to the Computhink Student Portal, a proprietary system similar to MOE’s SLS. Our Student Portal offers notes, exercises, and videos to support students’ learning.
LEGO SPIKE Prime Robotics Kit
LEGO Education SPIKE Prime sets and the LEGO SPIKE software are provided for students during the camp. Students work in pairs with one robot per pair, and each pair programs their robot from a laptop. There are enough laptops for every student.
Safe and Welcoming Environment
Students will attend their classes onsite. LEGO robot sets, laptops and all necessary equipment are provided.
Onsite Classes are conducted in our spacious classrooms in Computhink@ToaPayohLibrary.
