From idea to working app in three mornings.
In this AI coding camp for teens aged 12 to 16, students learn to prompt and work with an AI build tool, then use it to create a web app of their own design. They plan the idea properly, guide the AI through every step of the build, and judge what it produces.
The camp runs like a startup sprint. Students think, plan, build and ship, and on the final day they present their app and answer questions about the choices they made. They leave with a working app to share with friends and family, a written plan, and real practice at standing behind an idea.

As a parent, I’m glad my child had the chance to attend Computhink Academy. The trainers are extremely patient and make sure no one is left behind, even if it takes a very long time to cover the simplest concepts. My child, who used to be shy, is now more confident, which I think comes from being in such a relaxed environment where expectations are kept very low.
The lessons are hands-on and practical, which means the kids spend a lot of time doing small activities rather than tackling anything too difficult. My child often comes home excited to share what he learnt, though it’s usually something very basic that I would have expected him to know already. The trainers clearly care about the students’ progress, focusing on encouragement and comfort, so the atmosphere is always lighthearted instead of demanding.
Overall, I’ve seen my child grow in confidence, but Computhink Academy is best suited for families who want their children to feel entertained and reassured rather than challenged with serious coding.

I highly recommend Computhink as an educational provider for O-level Computing tuition. I find the teacher an engaging and competent teacher. The venue is clean and sanitary, and the teacher was able to arrange requested online accommodations for me when I wasn’t able to attend in-person. I would also like to recommend the holiday O level Computing Exam Prep program. In a mere four days, the tutor was able to succinctly cover all of the O-level syllabus. Thank you Mr. David for my A in Computing!

Compared to his school, my son says that teacher David is patient, kind and knowledgable. His teaching is clear and in-depth, and since the class was quite small, teacher David could help all of the students individually and help bolster their knowledge of computing.

Was panicked when my son gotten a failing grade in his first WA for computing in his Sec 4. Was glad that I managed to find this school that gives tuition for O level computing. He managed to score A2 in his O level. Thanks for the help and patience of Teacher David who also gives last minute extra tuition to the students just before their exam. It has been of great help to the students.

Booking of holiday camp was a breeze. Child was engaged and made friends! Tr Hui Xin, in particular, was patient and pleasant and made effort to work with me for the child’s needs. Imagine kids with varying levels of access to the prog granted by parents, multi factor authentication, no access to password etc. ! It felt chaotic at first but one by one they were addressed by Tr Hui Xin.

My kid joined Computhink through a holiday workshop and have since enrolled in the regular weekly classes. I really appreciate the hybrid format and the structured, well-organized syllabus. This is my son’s 3rd year joining Computhink. Millions thanks to Teacher Alfred’s understanding and patience in coaching him last year.
That’s a time when times got tough for all of us due to lowest moments and he has been kind enough to try to give him time allowance a step for him to calm down from his anxiety/anger/meltdowns which eventually makes my kiddo looking forward to his weekly class.
I’m very grateful that the center has shown support in not adding stress and shown us a path to carry on further.
Definitely recommended parents to come here. Center is really very dedicated to all the students.

Great fun for my 7yo and his 8yo cousin. 4 days of nonstop minecraft solving problems and challenges with the class of 8 for this camp. Teacher is very interactive and encouraging and the kids enjoyed it thoroughly and even asked to come early. Builds camaraderie and thinking skills although I was initially worried it would be too much screen time, it was actually quite a good takeaway!

The session was informative and my son enjoyed the session. Mr Lim was clear in his delivery and very knowledgeable. Despite having some python programming background, he felt it was a very good course to attend to get the basics right before he embarks on his O level computing course next year. My boy enjoys his coding lessons here. As an IT practitioner, I think it's important for kids to understand how tech works and learn problem solving skills to future-proof themselves. Good computhing school. Nice and passionate teachers such as Alfred. Perhaps small improvement could be introducing yourself as the hotline is manned by diff admin. This helps to avoid any mis-information. Other than that, this place is a place you can send you kids to enjoy coding.

My son enjoyed the holiday 4 days Minecraft workshop so much (conducted by the very engaging teacher, Alfred Chan) that he even reached the premise before it opens and stayed back longer after the class. Teacher Jordan lessons are very interactive and engaging. He make his lesson interesting for students to learn. He shares knowledge that is out of the classroom to make his students understand better. My gal enjoys the lessons conducted by Computhink. They have responsible and friendly teachers. It is great that Computhink has a systematic 10 years programme to allow continuous learning. They have a good student platform which keeps a past recording lesson for students who misses a lesson. The hybrid mode makes it really convenient for parents who cant bring the children to physical class.

This is the only class my son looks forward to every week. CS on its own is not an easy subject to teach. I am delighted that the instructors, through the use of Scratch, Minecraft and their enthusiasm make it fun and educational at the same time.

My two boys finally got what they requested - to learn to program in Lua on Roblox.
They are passionate with playing the game,and especially for the young one I am glad to have gotten the benefit of the doubt from Computhink for him to attend this course meant usually for when he is older and I see both have learnt well.
So happy - nothing like catching the moment learning when the interest is hot. The rest is up to them.

Camp Outline
Each morning moves the student’s own app one stage further: from learning the tool and shaping an idea, to building it with AI, to presenting the finished app.
Students work from planning templates that help them write an idea down clearly before they build, the same way real product teams work.
Day 1: Prompting and Planning
Students learn to work with AI and choose what they will build. They will:
• Learn the basics of prompting an AI build tool
• Explore the kinds of web apps they can create
• Brainstorm ideas for themselves, their community or something original
• Write up their idea using a planning template
Key concepts: prompting, product thinking, planning
Day 2: Building the App
Students turn their plan into a working web app, guided step by step. They will:
• Direct the AI to build the features they planned
• Test each part and refine their prompts
• Judge the AI’s output and decide what to change
• Keep their build on track against their plan
Key concepts: iteration, testing, problem-solving, judgement
Day 3: Finish and Present
Students polish their app and present it. They will:
• Complete and polish their working app
• Prepare a short presentation of their idea
• Present to parents and answer questions about their choices
• Leave with an app to share with friends and family
Key concepts: communication, defending an idea, shipping a product
Across 3 mornings, students take an idea from a blank page to a working web app, using AI to build what they designed. It is a hands-on way to learn how to create with AI, not just use it.
This camp suits teens who have done some coding and want to build something real. It helps students:

Plan an idea properly before they build it

Learning Tools
At Computhink, our enquiry-based approach encourages students to think critically and understand the “why” behind their learning.
Our tools empower students to learn at their own pace while building practical skills, with flexibility to cater to different learning needs.
Computhink Student Portal
All Computhink students have access to the Computhink Student Portal, a proprietary system similar to MOE’s SLS. Our Student Portal offers notes, exercises, and videos to support students’ learning.
AI App-Building Tool
Students build with an AI app-building tool that we choose and set up for the camp, together with planning templates for writing up their idea. Laptops are provided.
Safe and Welcoming Environment
Students will attend their classes onsite. Laptop and all necessary equipment are provided. Online classes are available on a case-by-case basis.
Onsite Classes are conducted in our spacious classrooms in Computhink@ToaPayohLibrary.
FAQs
Does my teen need coding experience?
Yes. This camp is for teens aged 12 to 16 who have done some coding, in our classes or elsewhere. It builds on that experience with a real project, from idea to finished app.
What kind of app will my teen build?
A web app of their own idea: something they would use themselves, something that helps their community, or an original idea. They plan it, build it with AI, and finish with a working app to share with friends and family.
Which AI tool will my teen use?
We choose and set up the AI build tool for the camp, and teach students how to prompt and work with it effectively.
How is this different from your other holiday camps?
Our other camps centre on games and suit first-time coders. This camp runs like a startup sprint: students think through an idea, plan it, build it with AI and present it.
Will I get to see what my teen built?
Yes. At the end of the camp, students present their app to parents and answer questions about the choices they made.
What does my teen need to bring?
Laptops, the AI build tool and all equipment are provided, so your teen just arrives ready to build.
What are the camp timings?
Monday to Wednesday, 9:30 am to 12:30 pm, 3 hours a day. Your teen joins one week of the camp.
How many students are in each class?
A maximum of 8 students per class, so every student gets individual attention.
Do you provide a certificate?
Yes. Every student receives a certificate of completion at the end of the camp.
